To create music is first to listen – an exquisite attention – a silent conversation in the sanctuary of the heart - that awakens our truest, unfettered response. As in music, so in life.

On a warm summer night, a thrilling conversation emerged between three friends – music played in the moment, never to be experienced quite the same way again. For those of you who were there, I could not have asked for a more engaged and enthusiastic audience.

My deepest gratitude to Max and Jeff, for listening so well, for your remarkable contributions, and for your love.

From the hundred year old lights that once hung in a church, to the tree-filled windows at the back of the stage, the people who gather, and the good food shared, to the musicians who keep coming to play, and my friend, Carol Noonan, who had the dream – the Stone Mountain Arts Center is a magical place.
